Cubs Defeat Indians in Epic Game 7; Become World Series Champions

If this game was 108 years in the making, it may have been worth the wait for Cubs fans.

The Chicago Cubs defeated the Cleveland Indians 8-7 in 10 innings, wrapping up a game that will go down in history as one the best of all time.

The Cubs grabbed a 5-1 lead, only to have the Indians come back multiple times. The craziest of these was a 2-run home run by Rajai Davis off of Cubs closer, Aroldis Chapman.

But these Cubs were different. They would not blink in the face of adversity. And they did not care about the drought. They simply did what they had done all season: rally when they needed to.

And in the 10th inning, they rallied for good. Ben Zobrist hit the go-ahead double to make the game 7-6 in favor of Chicago. They would tack on one more to make it 8-6, before giving up one in the bottom half, but still closing it out with a 8-7 final.
