Broncos Win Defensive Battle, Become World Champions

The National Football League closes its books on another season, with the Denver Broncos defeating the Carolina Panthers by the score of 24-10 in the biggest game of the year. Von Miller won the MVP with 2.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 5 tackles against the Panthers. His two forced fumbles led to 15 of Denver’s 24 points.

The game was a defensive struggle throughout, with the first touchdown of the game coming from Denver’s D through a Miller forced fumble. Cam Newton could not get much of anything going, finishing with 265 yards, 2 fumbles, and an interception. Peyton Manning had a better completion percentage at 13 for 23, but overall was not much better for just This was not the first time in the playoffs that the Broncos dominated a game defensively.

Due to the magnitude of the game, there were not too many spikes in the game’s graph on Social Delta, since the number of tweets coming in at all times was very high. However, when Von Miller got to Cam Newton for the game-sealing forced fumble in the fourth quarter, it did seem like the social media world knew that the game was over.
