Texas Governor with a Texas-Sized Social Media Mistake

The Houston Astros and Kansas City Royals are battling in a back-and-forth Game 4. The Astros seemed to have broken through in the bottom of the seventh, scoring 3 runs in the frame to increase their lead to 6-2. After the third run had crossed, the governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, sent out the following tweet, perhaps thinking the game had ended: “Congrats to the @astros on advancing to the ALCS!. Hoping for an all-Texas #ALCS. Looking at you @Rangers.”

Social Delta’s feed of the Royals/Astros game captured the tweet, which you can view here.
The problem of course, was that the game was not over. The Royals went on to score 5 runs in the top of the eighth and now currently lead the game 7-6. Oops! Gov. Abbot quickly deleted the tweet before any of the Kansas City runs occurred.

EDIT: The Royals would go on to win the game 9-6!
